GULF SHORES, Ala. – The second-ranked UCLA beach volleyball team won its second-consecutive NCAA title on Sunday afternoon, taking down No. 1 USC 3-0 at Gulf Shores Public Beach.

UCLA, which finished 35-3 on the season, opened the dual in style, winning in straight sets on courts four and five. Juniors Madi Yeomans and Savvy Simo took down Joy Dennis and Maja Kaiser, 21-16, 21-19, on court four, while senior Izzy Carey and freshman Lindsey Sparks mustered a 21-16, 21-15, triumph over Cammie Dorn and Mollie Ebertin on court five.

The championship-clinching victory came on court three, as senior Zana Muno and freshman Abby Van Winkle defeated USC's Haley Hallgren and Alexandra Poletto, 22-20, 21-13. The win for the Bruin pair snapped a three-game losing streak to the Trojans as a team and for the pair on court three.

Both of the Bruins' pairs on courts three and five, Muno and Van Winkle and Carey and Sparks were all named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.
