UCLA Football Games to Require Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test

In an effort to expedite the entry process, fans are encouraged to visit one of the verification areas located around the Rose Bowl Stadium prior to approaching the stadium gates. Verification areas will open 4 hours prior to kick-off, and upon being verified, guests will receive a wristband that they will be asked to show when entering the stadium. Verification areas will be marked with an orange tent top or flagging. There will also be staffers roaming the parking lots and near the gate entrances wearing an orange vest who can verify and wristband. Click here for map of verification areas.
While fans are encouraged to arrive to the stadium prepared, COVID Clinic will also be providing on-site rapid testing options for guests who do not have proof of vaccination or a negative test result available. Test sites will be located in the Area H Fan Zone and just outside Gate F in parking lot 5A.
For the October 23 game against Oregon, guests must have received their final dose of vaccine no later than Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 or have had a COVID-19 test administered, and subsequent negative result, on either Wednesday, Oct. 20; Thursday, Oct. 21; Friday, Oct. 22; or Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021. Please note that results from at-home test kits will not be accepted.
As a reminder, all guests age 2 or older are still required to wear a face covering at all times within the gates of the Rose Bowl Stadium, unless actively eating or drinking in a seated area.
Fans must not come to the event venue if they are experiencing fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 and are under isolation orders, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19. For a list of COVID-19 symptoms, click here.
Fully Vaccinated Guests
People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or other vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization), or two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen). The following will be considered acceptable proof of verification:
- COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card1) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and date doses administered); OR
- A photo of a vaccination card as a separate document; OR
- A photo of the client's vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device; OR
- Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.
Pre-Entry Negative Testing
People who are not fully vaccinated (as described above), or cannot show proof of full vaccination, will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result. Testing must be conducted within 72 hours before the event start time (both PCR and antigen are acceptable), and results must be available prior to entry into the event venue. The following will be considered acceptable proof of verification:
- A printed document from the test provider or laboratory, OR
- An electronic test result displayed on a phone or other device from the test provider or laboratory. In both cases, the information should include the person's name, type of test performed, and negative test result.
Proof of vaccination or the negative test result must be shown at a designated area outside of the event venue upon arrival.
